This little historic cottage is located in the center of Captiva Beach. You can walk about 3 miles in either direction. The small public parking lot is located on the north side of our land so you will not have the beach all to yourself. But the land south of ours is owned by the Rauschenberg Foundation, never to be developed, so that stretch is one of the most private in the village. The cottage has BEACHFRONT views from every room and you can most usually hear the sound of the waves at night. Though the primary amenity is the SETTING...its privacy on over two and a half fenced and gated acres and its beachfront location in the village ... the renovated interiors are first class in every way. Both downstairs and upstairs master suites have private sitting areas with BEACHFRONT VIEWS from the king beds ( "Westin Heavenly" mattresses) and new private baths with handmade tile showers. The upstairs suite has an adjoining tv/sitting room with queen sleeper, sleeping loft, and an amazing view of the beach and sunset from both the bedroom and the large shower. The cottage is ideal for two couples or a couple with children...though it's romantic and cozy for just the two of you. There is an all new kitchen equipped with top of the line cookware, appliances (SubZero Fridge, Wolf induction stove) and an outdoor grill and patio. Two adjoining screened porches and a spiral stair to the rooftop deck make it hard to decide which has the prettiest view. A short walk down the beach takes you to the famous Mucky Duck and many other village restaurants and attractions are a short golf cart ride away. The golf cart is included. Shells, birds, dolphins, sun, shade, some people watching...Willey Cottage is a treasure.
