Moving into the kitchen that has been updated and upgraded with mahogany cabinetry and stainless steel appliances you will find it to be nicely equipped with all the dishes, silverware, dinnerware and accessories that you will need for your stay. The view into the lush, private back yard and lake takes center stage.
As you pass through into the screened-in patio you can enjoy a functional and comfortable seating area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching ducks, geese, sandhill cranes and others alight onto the pristine waters of Lake Brinkley. Just outside the screened in patio, you will find a bar-b-que station. There are also two kayaks located up against the shed in the backyard free to our guests that they may use on Lake Brinkley or Lake Clay which is a short drive away.
Both bedrooms are nicely appointed. The master bedroom contains a king bed and its own en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower and an ample closet with shelving and plenty of hangers as well as extra blankets and pillows. The roomy guest bedroom also boasts a closet with shelving and plenty of hangers as well as extra blankets and pillows for your personal use. Just off the living room area you will find the second bathroom. Both bathrooms have been freshly updated and are inlaid with stones and decorative tile. Between the bedrooms is the linen closet that houses extra towels, sheets and any personal hygiene items you may need for your stay.
On the other side of the house you will find a smaller room which we refer to as the “flex” room. The room contains comfortable chairs, a television and a work desk. Perfect for relaxing after a day on the water or the golf course!
A private, fully equipped laundry room with a high efficiency washer and dryer is available to you day and night and is located across from the flex room. There is plenty of parking for two to three cars on the driveway.
Great weather, fabulous lakes and multiple outdoor activities abound in beautiful Highlands County. Lake Placid enjoys over 250 sunny days a year with average temperatures of 90 degrees in the summer months and lows during the winter months averaging 50 degrees. Endless sunshine and lakes means many sport activities such as fishing, pontoon rides, water skiing, jet skiing and so much more. A must see is Highlands Hammock Park located about 15 minutes north in Sebring with its many nature trails and multitude of wildlife. The list of activities is endless!
