The Area- This adorable cottage is perfectly located creekside along Birch Bay Drive. Walking distance to bike rentals, kayaks and paddleboard rentals, golf cart rentals, coffee shop, restaurants as well as brew pub and beach bars with live music and lots of local flare. You are also less than ½ a block from the public beach. Watch a spectacular sunset, roast marshmallows or when the tide is out dig for clams or look for sand dollars. The State Park is a mile away and the town of Blaine is a 10-minute drive with lots more to do and see. 20 minutes from the Canadian Border and 90 minutes from Seattle.
The Cottage- You will have everything you need in this tastefully decorated property. The Owner has made use of every nook and cranny with still giving you an open space feel. Upon entry you will find the living area with a lovely sectional sofa, TV and electric fireplace. There are two bedrooms on the main level. The first bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen size bed on the bottom, a twin on the top and a trendle twin on the bottom tucked under the Queen. There is cable TV, as well as French doors to close the space off from the living area. The window provides nice sunlight. The second room has a Queen size bed. Cable TV and a nice large window that looks out over the creek. The closets have fans for those hot summer nights, a play pen should you have a little one and chairs to take to the beach or onto the deck. Yes, there is still room for your clothes. There is also a loft area off of the living room that is perfect for young adults. There is cable TV as well as a sofa that makes into a sleeper. Small but functional area.
The kitchen has all the utensils, pots/pans, silverware, dishes and much more for you to prepare a light snack or use your culinary skills for a full meal. There are 3 ways to make coffee. French press as well as grinder for the beans, K-cup or drip coffee maker. The Owner has thought of everything. In a closet by the kitchen, you will find a full-size washer and dryer. The bathroom has a regular size tub and shower and lots of space to house your toiletries.
The slider will lead you to your private deck complete with small propane BBQ. Stairs lead down to the creek and a sitting area but please be mindful of small children. If you are lucky, you will catch otters playing in the creek.
